Very interestingly, according to the molecular analysis of Sbordoni et al. (2018), the population of C. Vietnam is rather different from populations in other regions.
The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forests at high elevations (Alt. 1700 - 2400m). Further taxonomic study is needed.
