Notes

The populations from Ha Giang and Cao Bang in N.Vietnam are considered to be the nominotypical subspecies.
In their study (Hu et al. 2023:19), the taxon linga from Hainan was proposed as a synonym of this taxon. However, I reserve this classification until a comprehensive comparison has been conducted.
