The first discovery in Thailand was taken photo by Satawan Atdhabhan on 11.Sep.2011 in Yala province.
The butterfly is locally very common in forest edges along the streams at low elevations (Alt. 290 - 450m). Male are territorial on shrubs or undergrowth. The red patch on the UpF is rather variable.
