Notes

The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forest at moderate elevations (Alt. 600 - 1600m) and is frequently found at hilltops. Males often come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
The relationship between Appias lalage and Appias pandione is still uncertain. The differences are unclear, especially in females. Further taxonomic study, including DNA analysis, is needed.
