Notes

The butterfly is locally common in forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 600 - 1200m). Males form flight paths along streams or forest edges, and are frequently observed mud-puddling along stream banks and at puddles.
Both male and female are thought to mimic Atrophaneura varuna, however they are not similar. In flight, it closely resembles the mimetic species Papilio alcmenor.
