Notes
The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 30 - 700m).
Both ssp.indicus and ssp.ophiala occur together in P. Thailand (Ranong to Nakhon Si Thammarat) as noted by Evans,1957.
Further taxonomic and distributional studies, including DNA analysis, are needed.
