The butterfly is uncommon in montane forests at low elevations.
The specimens in Pinratana (1981), Ek-Amnuay ([2007],2012) and the male specimen in Kimura et al. (2014) look quite odd.
I suspect that these are different taxon.
Further taxonomic and distributional studies are needed.
