Notes

The butterfly is uncommon in primary forests at moderate elevations (650–850 m a.s.l.) and is more cautious than other species.
Hitherto, the taxon thalebanus has only been known from a single male obtained in Satun, P. Thailand. We have examined the type specimen and consider it to be a variation of this species.
