Notes

Yoshino (2024: 44–45) treated armariola as a subspecies of aspasia. However, based on differences in their genitalia, armariola and aspasia are here treated as separate species, as previously recognized.

In Ma et al. (2020), Phaedyma amphion (Linnaeus, 1758), the type species of the genus Phaedyma, was included in the molecular analysis and was found to be positioned within the genus Neptis. However, amphion represents a distinct species group occurring in the Papuan region, and no comparisons have been made with the various species currently assigned to "Phaedyma" from the mainland to Sundaland. Further molecular studies are therefore required to determine whether these species should be placed in Neptis or another genus. Pending the results of such studies, the genus name "Phaedyma" is provisionally retained here.
