Notes

The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 10 - 1100m). Males often come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
According to Hsu et al. (2022: 525,531), the record from Taiwan is thought to be a vagrant from the Philippines.
