This species was known by only a single record from Thailand (Aoki & Uémura,1984: 2♂, 11.May.1977, Mae Hong Son) for 39 years. It was rediscovered by Koichi Yano on 15.Oct.2016 in Phetchabun, C.Thailand. A very localized species, but it is not rare in its habitat and can be seen in savanna-like grasslands.
