Notes

The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 550 - 1400m).
Lang,2021 separated the populations from Myanmar - Yunnan and Vietnam - S.Guangxi as two subspecies. He mentioned that the populations from Thailand - Laos in the middle zone need to be considered since it seems to be a transitional taxon. However, looking at the figure of the nominotypical subspecies in the original description, it seems the individuals from Thailand - Laos belong to it, while those from Yunnan have a narrower band and seem to be rather peculiar. Here I treat the populations from Thailand - Laos as the nominotypical subspecies as in the past. Further taxonomic study is needed.
