The butterfly is uncommon in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 350 - 1100m).
This taxon is intermediate between ssp.parthenope and ssp.pasithoe.
The male is almost the same as ssp.pasithoe, but the female resembles ssp.parthenope.
Very interestingly, ssp.pasithoe is found in Tak, just north of Kanchanaburi.
This area seems to be where the subspecies changes.
Further distributional research is needed.
