Notes

The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at moderate to high elevations (Alt. 1200 - 1600m) and males are territorial on trees.
The specimens from Vinh Phuc, N. Vietnam seem to be thyia. It was described by Nicéville,[1893], based on a male specimen from Khasi Hills, India and the status of this taxon is still unclear. It might be the seasonal variation of albiplaga as Evans,1932 pointed out, therefore I provisionally regard it as ssp.albiplaga. Further taxonomic study is needed.
