Notes
The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forests at low elevaations (Alt.10 - 300m).
They often fly out from bushes along the trail and rest on the underside of leaves from 30 to 70cm in height.
The population from Langkawi tends to have a darker ground color and more prominent black post-discal striae on the underside, very similar to ssp.satawani.
However the male genitalia is the same as ssp.burmana, and the tip of dorsal projection of the valva is sickle-shaped.
