The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 200 - 300m). They often fly out from bushes along the trail and rest on the underside of leaves from 30 to 70cm in height. Generally this species lacks vein 8 on the forewing, however some specimens from Chanthaburi, S.E.Thailand have it, and if present, it is bifurcated near the termen.
