Notes
The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forests at moderate to high elevations (Alt. 1000 - 1700m).
Males occasionally come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
I consider the taxon ayuthia to be included in the nominotypical subspecies.
Further taxonomic study is needed.
Ek-Amnuay ([2007],2012) recorded Cigaritis rukma from Doi Phu Kha, Thailand, however it is a misidentification of this species.
