Notes

The butterfly is locally not rare in montane grasslands at high elevations (Alt. 1900 - 2200m). The underside is very similar to Heliophorus brahma and impossible to distinguish.
The figured male specimen is the first finding in Thailand. It was found on the top of Doi Pha Hom Pok in Fang dist., Chiang Mai province on 28.Apr.1984 by Prasobsuk Sukkit.
I tentatively treat all populations in Indo-China region as eventa. Further taxonomic study is needed.
