Notes

The butterfly is uncommon in primary forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 650 - 850m) and is more cautious than other species.
Hitherto, the taxon thalebanus has only been known from a single male obtained in Satun, P.Thailand. We have examined the type specimen and consider it to be a variation of this species.
