This taxon was recently found in several districts of Chiang Mai Province, N. Thailand. It was first discovered by Kotaro Saito on 6.Aug.2023.
The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 750 - 870m), but is quite localised. Males are territorial on trees about 2-4m high at hilltops and fly in circles for long hours in their territory from 15:30 - 16:40. Further distributional research is needed.
