Notes
The butterfly is common in montane forests at moderate to high elevations (Alt. 500 - 1750m).
Males are territorial on shrubs.
This taxon is highly variable with individual and seasonal variation, which seems to be more pronounced than geographic variation.
The differences between ssp.cama and ssp.camasa are not so notable, and considering the range of variation between the two subspecies, these are likely to be indistinguishable.
I tentatively separate the two subspecies here, but further taxonomic study is needed.
