The specimens from Ha Tinh, C. Vietnam, shown as Neptis nashona aagaardi in Monastyrskii (2019), and a specimen from Bolikhamxai, E.Laos, are slightly different from ssp.nashona, ssp.tamamitsui and ssp.kishii. It is more similar to ssp.aagaardi from Thailand, but considering the distribution pattern, it could be a transitional population from ssp.tamamitsui to the nominotypical subspecies. I will hold off on treating this population until more specimens are available for comparison. Further taxonomic study is needed.
