The butterfly is rather localized but not rare in its habitat. It is found in montane forests at low elevations (Alt. 30 - 150m).
Ek-Amnuay,[2007],2012 recorded it from 'Yala', but this is rather doubtful. No one has ever seen a specimen from there and it is likely to be an erroneous locality.
