Notes
The butterfly is locally common in mangrove forests or coastal forest edges at low elevations (Alt. 10 - 400m).
Some authors regard taxon olivacea to be a good subspecies.
From north to south, the white spots on the upper side of both wings tend to become smaller in size.
There is also a tendency for the ground colour of the upper side to become darker.
However, these characteristics are highly variable, with individual variation seeming to be more pronounced than geographical variation.
Hence, I treat olivacea as a synonym of bremeri.
This species is indistinguishable from several similar species by the UnH markings.
The androconial brand on the UnF and the UpF markings must be examined.
Generally, the male of this taxon does not have an androconial brand in space 1b on the UpF.
Very rarely, individuals may appear with a faint brand.
