Notes
The butterfly is locally common in forests at low to moderate elevations (50–1,000 m a.s.l.).
Both sexes visit flowers.
Males are frequently observed mud-puddling along stream banks and at puddles.
They often rest on the underside of leaves with their wings spread.
Godfrey (1930) recorded it from Phrae, N. Thailand, but this is doubtful.
Further distributional research is needed in northern Thailand.
I consider the type locality of Cyrestis periander siamensis Fruhstorfer, 1898 is not 'Siam' as Corbet (1941) pointed out.
The record from E. Cambodia may be ssp.vatinia. Confirmation by specimen is needed.
