The first discovery in Thailand was a photo taken by Antonio Giudici on 19 July 2014 and a specimen was obtained by Satawan Atdhabhan on 27 June 2019 in Betong Dist., Yala.
The butterfly is uncommon in forests at moderate elevations (550–650 m a.s.l.).
