Notes
The butterfly is not rare in montane dense forests mixed with bamboo at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 50 - 500m) and often comes to rotten fruits that has fallen to the ground.
They prefer in the dark jungle and suddenly fly out from below.
Flight is fast and quickly fly away into the bush.
Examples of Ranong are rather variable, and some of them have thin blue band on the UpF.
Furthermore, I treat examples from Phetchaburi as this subspecies provisionally.
Unfortunately the records are nature photos only, we need to confirm with specimens in the future.
