Notes

The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 700 - 900m).
The first discovery in Thailand was a photo taken in nature by Supat Sophonviwatkul on 05.Oct.2003 in Phetchabun, but was thought to be ssp.nothis. Afterwards, several specimens were obtained and confirmed as ssp.sylvarum by Koichi Yano on 17.Sep.2016.
I have seen an individual in Nan Province that I believe to be of this species. A taxonomic and distribution survey is needed to determine to which taxon it belongs.
