Notes
The butterfly is not rare in primary forests at low elevations (Alt. 30 - 450m).
Kimura et al. (2014) recorded ssp.thuisto from Tenasserim, and it is possible to be ssp.sawaja, but I treat it as the nominotypical subspecies until it is confirmed by specimens.
Females from Ranong are also closer to ssp.sawaja, which seems to be a transition zone between ssp.thuisto and ssp.sawaja.
