The butterfly is uncommon in montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 800 - 1400m) and is found around hilltops. Both sexes visit flowers.
For many years, a single record of this species in Thailand by Pendlebury (1923) was known. As reported in Saito & Inayoshi (2018), it was rediscovered by Etsuo Ikari on 16.Mar.2017 in Betong district, Yala. However, a female specimen obtained at Than To district, Yala in 2014 was subsequently found in THNHM, which is the second reliable specimen.
