Notes
The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 250 - 1000m).
Both sexes visit flowers. Males frequently come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
The markings on the hindwing is variable in size and coloration.
Ek-Amnuay (2012) treated the population in Trat (Koh Chang), S.E.Thailand as ssp.takakoae.
However, this is a misidentification of the nominotypical subspecies.
