Notes

The butterfly is locally common in montane forest at low to moderate elevations (alt.250m - 900m).
The markings on the hindwing is variable in size and coloration. Ek-Amnuay,2012 treated the population in Trat (Koh Chang), S.E.Thailand as ssp.takakoae, However this is a misidentification of the nominotypical subspecies.
