Notes
The butterfly is locally common in montane and secondary forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 20 - 1100m).
Males are territorial on shrubs at hilltops.
Sheela et al.,2019 figured a female 'type' specimen of Deudorix orseis from S.Andamans, however, according to the original description, Hewitson described it based on a male from Sumatra.
Thus, it is considered not to be a type specimen of orseis.
