This is the first record from Thailand. It was found by Y.Inayoshi and Koichi Yano in several districts of Nan province in Mar.2024.
The butterfly is uncommon in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 440 - 1300m). Males are territorial on trees from 15:00 to 15:30.
The one photo record from Arunachal Pradesh in Butterflies of India as Sinthusa chandrana grotei seems to be this taxon. This species is most likely to be found in Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam in the future. Further distributional research is needed.
