The butterfly is locally not rare in open land and secondary forests at low elevations (Alt. 10 - 50m). Males are territorial on undergrowth or shrubs around forest edges at 9:30 - 11:00.
The population from Ranong has smaller orange tornal markings, and some of them are replaced with white ones. Further taxonomic study is needed.
