Notes
The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 500 - 1400m).
Males are territorial on trees.
The populations from Nakhon Nayok to S.E. Thailand are similar to ssp.lisides.
However populations from N. Thailand and S.E. Thailand are isolated by ssp.madaura of C. Thailand.
I provisionally regard the taxon from S.E. Thailand as the nominotypical subspecies.
Further taxonomic study is needed.
