Notes
The butterfly is locally common in montane forest at moderate elevations (Alt. 500 - 1400m).
Males are territorial on trees.
The populations from Nakhon Nayok to S.E.Thailand are similar to ssp.lisides.
However populations from N.Thailand and S.E.Thailand are isolated by ssp.madaura of C.Thailand.
I provisionally regard the taxon from S.E.Thailand as the nominotypical subspecies.
Further taxonomic study is needed.
