Notes

The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forests at low elevations (Alt. 30 - 350m).
The populations from P. Thailand seem to be slightly different from the W. Malaysian population. The males have a slightly broader black marginal border, 0.5 - 0.75 mm wide, on the UpF, whereas the W. Malaysian population has a thread-like border up to 0.5 mm wide.
The photo record of 'Arhopala elopura dama' from Koh Phangan is likely to be this taxon, but only a photo of the underside is available. Therefore, it is on hold until a reliable specimen is confirmed. Further taxonomic and distributional studies are needed.
