Notes

The butterfly is uncommon in montane forest at low to moderate elevations (Alt.250m - 650m).
In Yala province, ssp.mirelliana and amphimuta-like individuals are found sympatrically. These amphimuta-like individuals seem to closely resemble Arhopala asia which is considered a synonym of amphimuta. I treat it as ssp.amphimuta temporarily, however the taxon asia is likely to be a distinct species. Further taxonomic study is needed.
