Notes

The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at lowlands (Alt. 10 - 100m).
I have only seen definite specimens of this species from islands such as Koh Phangan and Koh Tarutao. The records of other localities in P. Thailand should be reconfirmed.
Les Day (2011-2022) recorded both Arhopala atosia and Arhopala lurida from Koh Samui, but these are only underside photos and cannot be distinguished. Therefore, I do not adopt these records.
Further taxonomic and distributional studies are needed.
