The butterfly is locally common in montane forest at lowlands (Alt. 10 - 100m).
I have only seen definite specimens of this species from islands such as Koh Phangan and Koh Tarutao. The records of other localities in P.Thailand should be reconfirmed.
Les Day,2011-2022 recorded both Arhopala atosia and lurida from Koh Samui, but these are only underside photos and cannot be distinguished. Therefore, I do not adopt these records.
This species could be a form of Arhopala atosia by marine or island climate, as Takanami,1991 pointed out. Further taxonomic study and distributional research are needed.
