Notes
The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 30 - 600m).
The populations in P.Thailand (excluding Pattani to Yala) and northwards have a broader forewing border and more shining blue ground color on the upperside than ssp.malayana.
It seems intermediate between ssp.malayana and ssp.aria.
Les Day (2011-2022) recorded both Arhopala atosia and Arhopala lurida from Koh Samui, but these are only underside photos and cannot be distinguished.
Therefore, I do not adopt these records.
