Notes

The butterfly is uncommon and very localized in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 350 - 900m). Males form flight paths along streams or forest edges between 16:00 and sunset.
I tentatively treat the population from Phetchaburi as ssp.meritatas, although the female cannot be confirmed. Further taxonomic and distributional studies are needed.
