Notes

The butterfly is rare in montane forest at high elevations (Alt.1600m - 2500m).
Ek-Amnuay,[2007],2012 recorded it from "Chiang Dao", however it has not been found in this area. The population in C.Vietnam seems to be closer to the nominotypical subspecies than ssp.miyashitai. I treat it as ssp.inthanonensis temporarily, further taxonomic study is needed.
