Notes

The butterfly is common in montane forest at low to moderate elevations (Alt.30m - 700m). Males are territorial on shrubs and trees.
Both sexes are polymorphic. Females in Peninsular Thailand are generally Tanaecia pattern, and rarely occurs continental form. I treat all populations in P.Thailand as this taxon provisionally, however further taxonomic study is needed.
