The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forest at moderate elevations (Alt. 700 - 1300m).
Males are frequently territorial on trees at hilltops.
Ek-Amnuay ([2007],2012) recorded it from 'Chaiyaphum', CN. Thailand, but according to Kimura et al. (2016), this is a misidentification of Euthalia malaccana.
