Notes
The butterfly is not rare in montane forest at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 40 - 1200m).
The population from C. to SE. & E. Thailand to Vietnam, known as jahnides, tends to have more distinct white markings on the upper surface of the female.
However, it is highly variable across the whole range, and individual and seasonal variation seems to be more pronounced than geographic variation.
