Notes
The butterfly is not rare in montane forest at low to moderate elevations (Alt.30m - 1200m) and is often found at hilltops.
Males are territorial on shrubs.
In Phetchaburi, upper part of Peninsular Thailand, both ssp.amharina and ssp.bahula are found sympatrically.
It seems to be a transition zone containing intermediate individuals.
