Notes
The butterfly is locally common in primary forests at low to moderate elevations (10–900 m a.s.l.).
The distribution and taxonomic status of continental populations, particularly those in Vietnam, is not yet clear.
Further distributional and taxonomic studies are needed.
In Ma et al. (2020), Lasippa heliodore, the type species of the genus Lasippa, was included in the molecular analysis and was found to be nested within the genus Neptis.
However, only a limited number of Lasippa species were included in the analysis, and the relationship between Lasippa heliodore and other species currently assigned to "Lasippa" remains unclear.
Pending the results of further comprehensive molecular studies, the genus name "Lasippa" is provisionally retained here.
