The butterfly is uncommon in montane primeval forests at low elevations (Alt. 30 - 450m).
The populations in Chanthaburi, S.E.Thailand and C.Vietnam seem to be slightly different from those in P.Thailand.
Further taxonomic study is needed.
As mentioned in the page on Plastingia naga, the difference between naga and pellonia should be recognised by the white spots on the forewing or the male genitalia.
The specimens that do not have them can only be treated as Plastingia sp.
