Notes

Zhang et al. (2022:39) suggested that the taxon should be treated in genus Tamela based on molecular analysis. Subsequently, Zhang et al. (2023:17) treated both taxa diocles and maura as distinct species based on molecular analysis. However, important populations in the Indochina region have not been examined. I treat this as conventionally until this is resolved. Further taxonomic study is needed.
