Notes
The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 900 - 1300m) and is often found at forest edges.
Both sexes visit flowers.
The figured specimens in Sheela et al.,2019 as the type specimens of Astictopterus butleri are not true type specimens.
They are considered to be Koruthaialos rubecula, as Evans,1949 pointed out.
Pinratana,1985 recorded it from Ranong, however, it seems rather doubtful.
Therefore, it should be put on hold until a record with a reliable specimen is found.
Further distributional study is needed.
