Notes

Xue et al. (2025) treated Halpe gamma as endemic to Taiwan. They also suggested that the specimen from C. Vietnam may represent a distinct species.
The butterfly is rare, only one male has been found at high elevation (2,400 m a.l.s.). Further taxonomic study is needed.
